Chris Film Club: The Longest Day

The theme of "World War 2" continues on this week's Film Club with 1962's "The Longest Day".

Retelling the events of 1944 when the U.S. Army and Allied forces began their invasion landing in Normandy, France, the Film follows a General who travels with his men onto Omaha Beach.

Stars (among others) John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, Richard Burton, Sean Connery, Henry Fonda, Red Buttons, Peter Lawford, Rod Steiger, George Segal, Robert Wagner, Curt Jurgens and Paul Anka.

The film had 5 directors, 3 were credited and 2 were left uncredited.
