Chris' Film Club: A Bridge Too Far

Wrapping up a week of moving World War 2 Films, Chris' last pick is 1977's "A Bridge Too Far".

Another epic reaching almost 3 hours, this film is infact based on a Cornelius Ryan book! The film follows an allied paratrooper unit in 1944, who must reclaim a Netherlands highway to break into Germany.

Directed by Richard Attenborough, it stars an ensemble cast including Dirk Bogarde, James Caan, Michael Caine, Sean Connery, Edward Fox, Elliott Gould, Gene Hackman, Anthony Hopkins, Laurence Olivier, Ryan O’Neal, Robert Redford, Maximilian Schell and Liv Ullmann.
