Over the past 4 days West Herts Drivetime have been running a competitive radio drama feature where five up and coming playwrights have been pitted against each other. Each playwright had one part of their 4 scene play, written around the theme 'the Switch', performed each day, with one playwright being knocked out each time.
On Monday, the first scenes were performed, with Belinda Canham's play being knocked out. On Tuesday, three playwrights remained. The second scenes of the plays were performed, and Ned Ray was knocked out. Wednesday saw the departure of Suzy Cripps, and on Thursday only Rosemary Foster and Matilda Tempest remained in the competition, when they battled for the title of winner. In the end it was a very tightly contested competition, but Rosemary Foster emerged as the winner.
