The Radio Verulam Film Guide: 3rd October 2014

Danny wasn't in the studio tonight due to that rash that doesn't seem to want to go away, so Alex McKay was in the presenters chair, along with the usual duo of Simon and Chris. This meant that for the first time in years the average age of the Film Guide was now below 75 and to celebrate this new found youthfulness the gang decided to hit the town instead of doing the Film Guide. Of course, they couldn't just leave 30 minutes of dead air (that would just be unprofessional), so they took all the outside broadcasting equipment out with them. Listeners got front row seat at Simon's keg stand, as well as Alex's, the Casanova of Radio Verulam, attempts to chat up every single lady we encounter. Chris, ever the sensible (and dashing), was on designated driver duty, although in retrospect that wasn't the best idea, seeing as Chris can't drive. All in all, the evening was a lot of fun, but we've yet to get our recording equipment back from the police.

Ok, that was a lie, but Simon was in the studio to discuss the UK box office, new releases and his pick of films on free-to-air TV for the coming week.
