The Radio Verulam Film Guide: 26th September 2014

A tad late, I know, but let us pretend it isn't.

With the weekend now upon us, Danny, Chris and Simon were all very excited. Not because of the St Albans Beer Festival, nor was it for St Albans City's away game at Hayes & Yeading on Sunday in the FA Cup. Nope, the terrible trio were going to have a weekend long Dungeons and Dragons session. They had rented out the whole 7th floor of the Ziggurat Building to role play their quest, with Simon busting out his 'Simonty the Brave' outfit, which he made to go with the publication of his epic tome last week. Danny went for his character 'Smyth the Well-Endowed', an elf with a massive weapon, while Chris has brought all the gear for his character 'Christor the Merciless', whom Chris describes as a 'pugnacious dwarf with a God-complex and a drinking problem'. They planned to play for the whole weekend but sadly the game ended after only an hour, due to Simon and Danny having a falling out and their mothers having to come get them.

Ok, that was a lie, but Simon was in the studio to talk about the UK box office, new releases and films on TV.
