Gwendoline Alderton on Interior Design

Gwendoline was back in studio once again this evening, and this time she was discussing how to make your home appealing to buyers:

  • The most important thing is to know your buyer, and change some aspects of your home to appeal to them. For example, if a family is being shown around make sure all possible bedrooms have beds actually in them. Every room should have a purpose.

  • Colour is important as always, it influences buyers' perceptions from the very start. Colourful plants outside your home are a great way to make a positive first impression.

  • Within your home, make sure you have a colour balance and flow. Also remember to steer clear of too many loud colours, while also avoiding blandness.

Next time she is in the studio, Gwendoline will be discussing decorating tips in the run-up to Christmas
