Chris' Film Club: The Long Good Friday

Continuing our theme of 'Gangster Films' I've plumped for The Long Good Friday, a British classic that was also the breakout film for the late Bob Hoskins.

Hoskins plays the king of the London criminal underworld who is attempting to start a legitimate business but still gets mixed up with the Mafia, IRA and corrupt police. He also finds he can't get away from his criminal tendencies.

The film also stars Helen Mirren and has a part for a young Pierce Brosnan.
