Top Local Author @mjarlidge pops in for a chat about his new novel "Pop Goes the Weasel"

We were very lucky today as local author M.J Arlidge came to talk about his new crime novel "Pop Goes the Weasel" which came out today.  Matt described his desire to create a female protagonist, inspired by the "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo", which he achieved with the creation of the strong DI Grace whom Danny envisaged would be played by Hermione Norris, contrary to Matts opinion's. Maybe Danny should leave the casting to the producer, novelist and screenplay writer?

Matt then talked about the troubles of translating the titles of his books, with his new title being slightly problematic to translate! This new book: "Pop Goes the Weasel" is a dark, crime fiction with a slightly scarce occurrence of a female antagonist. Matt then disclosed some great news about his new novel "Dolls House" and we eagerly await for its release date of 12th February 2015. We will hold Matt to his promise of coming back for the release of his next book, as we can't wait to speak to him again!

Join Matt on Saturday 13th August 11am-1pm this Saturday downstairs in Waterstones for book signing and a chat. Here at Radio Verulam we highly recommend this fast-paced, compulsive and exciting novel.
