Chris' Film Club: No Country for Old Men

This week's theme for the film club is 'Book Adaptations', so Monday's film club saw the induction of The Coen Brother's take on Cormac McCarthey's modern western, No Country for Old Men.

A man stumbles across the aftermath of a drugs deal gone wrong and takes the huge bag of money that is left behind. This draws the attention of many different groups, who want the money for lots of different reasons. Starring Josh Brolin, Tommy Lee Jones, Javier Bardem and Woody Harrelson it features great suspense, dark humour and a chilling turn from Bardem as a sinister and depraved hit man. It was the big winner at the 2007 Oscars, taking home the Best Picture prize.
