Funny Woman Vicky Arlidge on Drive Time with Danny Smith

Today Vicky Arlidge, Mother of two, turned comedian at 43, came in to catch up with Danny about her flourishing career.

Vicky wrote her first comedy song 2 years ago just to get some things that were bothering her off her chest.

She loaded onto YouTube, and it unexpectedly went viral, receiving hits and messaged from all over the world.

Last year Vicky performed at the Edinburgh festival for the first time, and was even nominated for Funny Woman Best Show 2013.

She explained that the Edinburgh Festival is the biggest, creative, festival in the world, with an amazing atmosphere. The festival runs for three weeks from the beginning of August, and Vicky will be there from the 9th-26th August.

This year Vicky will be performing at Glastonbury for the fist time alongside Dolly Parton and Metalica. Although Vicky is looking forward to the experience, she explained that she whimped out of camping, instead opting for a Motor Home rather than sharing toilets with 4000 festival goers.

A little bit closer to home, Vicky is performing at the Maltings Theatre on the 13th and 14th June. If you book your tickets before Thursday you will get a free glass of prosecco.

The following week, 21st June, Vicky will be performing at the Leicester Square Theatre.
