The Radio Verulam Film Guide: 14th March 2014

Tonight we had Simon in the studio as usual but he was acting in a slightly unusual way. By that I mean he was being actually quite interesting. He started out by telling us what he was doing this weekend and for the first time ever it didn't include reorganising his gravel-coloured jumper collection (he orders them by date of purchase, how close to gravel they actually look, size, thickness of wool and finally their repulsiveness to the opposite sex). He was actually going to go out and enjoy the sunshine, take part in some water sports, go out in the evening and catch a show, party the night away and generally lead the life of an interesting person. What he was describing was wonderful, almost dreamlike. In fact, it is too much like a dream.... The real Simon would never do anything as interesting as anything I've described. No, this is definitely a dream! I don't want to wake up! I don't want Simon to go back to the way he was was! Noooooooooooo!

Ok, that was a lie, but Simon was in the studio to talk about the UK box office top 10 and his pick of films on free-to-air television for the coming week.
