Tonight in the studio we were joined by Nicola Evans and our lifestyle correspondent Lisa Pearson talking about Nicola's courageous battle with Cavernoma and how she's raised money for the cause.
Nicola was raising money for the Cavernoma Alliance UK charity who help those who have the disease that affects 1 in 600 of us, which is hard to diagnose as there are few recognisable symptoms. After gaining information from the charity Nicola learnt that others have named their tumour, therefore Nicola decided on Freddie. Nicola found that talking to others who had named their Cavernoma helped them to come to terms with their illness.
Nicola is going to have a operation on her brain to remove the Cavernoma next month, though she does not have to shave her hair for the operation, she shaved her head for the Cavernova charity, and donated the hair to Little Princess Trust who support children with Cancer.
So far Nicola has raised over £2900!
