Benedict O'Boyle and his iWoodamp

First and foremost I must apologize at the lateness of this post, time was truly my nemesis over the latter part of this week.
But on to more important business:
On Thursday the 10th we had the pleasure of welcoming Benedict O'Boyle of Benedict's Fine Furniture into the studio to talk to us about his invention- the iWoodamp.
This piece of kit consists of a beautiful piece of timber, about the size of an iPad, with a groove cut into one side. Not only does the stand allow you to watch videos, view recipes, or simply hold a tablet while it is charging, but it also amplifies any sound from the tablet! We were treated to a demonstration in the studio and the stand does indeed create a fuller and warmer sound.
The iWoodamp is Benedict's first invention, but he's already working on a smaller version for an iPhone and a wooden bike rack is also in the making.
The iWoodamp currently comes in a range of timbers and can be found (along with Benedict's other inventions and creations) at the website:

Lastly, here is a little video to demonstrate the iWoodamp in action!
