The Drivetime Sessions: Sinead and the Dawnbreakers

Today's guests on the Show were Sinead and the Dawnbreakers, making their first appearance at the Radio Verulam Studios for a year. (Or should we say Dawnbreaker because there was only one in the studio, one of the band is in Spain apparently!)

Since forming in 2009, the band have been playing all over the country at various venues and festivals. They played at the Little World Festival in Meribel, France both years it has been running and have performed live on BBC Radio 2 on Dermot O'Leary's show as well as an appearance on  BBC Children In Need. Of course Sinead is best known for her appearance in BBC TV series Fame Academy in 2002. She later went on to sign a recording contract, released an album, and had a #2 UK single.

The band are playing at the Childwickbury Art Fair this Saturday July 6 and you can find out more about the band by going to their facebook page which is www.facebook.com/Dawnbreakers or you can go to dawnbreakers.bandcamp.com/ where you can listen to and buy their December 2011 Album.

Hopefully it will be a less than a year before they come back to perform again for us this time!

You can hear the session up to a week after broadcast at www.radioverulam.com/listenagain
