Chris' Film Club: A History of Violence

Today is actor Ed Harris' birthday so my pick for today's Film Club is A History of Violence, David Cronenberg's 2005 adaptation of a graphic novel of the same name.

The film stars Viggo Mortensen as a small-town diner owner who foils an armed robbery and becomes a local hero, but this draws unwanted attention towards him and his family from some shady characters.

The film also stars Maria Bello and William Hurt, who is so fantastic in the film he earned an Oscar nomination despite being in the film for just under 10 minutes.
