Chris' Film Club: From Hell - and a chance to win tickets to see Anna Kerenina (12A)

Today in 1888, Scotland Yard detectives received a letter supposedly from Jack the Ripper and signed “From Hell”.  Therefore, today's film is From Hell!

The film is based on a graphic novel by Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell about the Ripper murders
The film stars Johnny Depp, Heather Graham, Ian Holm and Robbie Coltrane.

  1. "Based" on the comic book.... let us just say the comic is much different than the movie (much better in my opinion). First of all, the detective is simply a con-artist in it and he actually can't solve the mystery in the end... I can only enjoy this movie if I do not relate it to what is "based" on.
