It's near the end of the month again and that means it's time for Gwendoline Alderton to return to the Radio Verulam Studio ...
As the Chelsea Flower Show's starting this week, she decided it was topical to talk about floral patterns. If you wish to decide to decorate your house it's important to consider what's in fashion and what look you would like to go for. Currently it's very fashionable to have a more humble, organic and rustic look. For wall paper this could be a 'Ditsy Print' or 'Tea Rose Print'.
Find a good place to start, perhaps with a fabric or product. This could be a set of curtains, artwork or even a nice rug. Twee floral patterns on a tea set looks quintessntially english and is particularly fashionable at the moment.
If you wish to go for another look, you could go for more contemporary or traditional styles. Just remember don't go overboard!
