Alison Jarvis from NACOA
Tonight Danny was joined on the phone by Alison Jarvis from National Association for Children of Alcoholics. Set up in 1990 to support children living with one or two alcoholic parents, NACOA counts England and Bath rugby player Olly Barkley, former Arsenal and England footballer Tony Adams and supermodel Elle Macpherson among its patrons.
NACOA offers confidential advice to children of alcoholics with the aim of giving them more information about alcoholism and advice with how to proceed with helping. This Sunday sees the start of COA Week, an event designed to raise awareness of children of alcholic parents. For more information you can visit the NACOA website here and the COA Week website here.
