St Albans Centre For Voluntary Services/Dragons Apprentice

This evening on the show we were joined by Susanannah Redmayne and Rose Steggles from St Albans Girls School and Michelle Hart from St Albans Council For Voluntary Services.
Susannah and Rose are from team "Switch" of the Dragons Apprentice competition and are part of an eight strong team raising funds for the St Albans & District Council For Voluntary Services. They are raising money by selling xmas fudge, jars of sweets and hampers which are available from the CVS in Catherine Street.
Tomorrow [20th December] the whole team + helpers will be bag packing at Waitrose supermarket in Welwyn Garden City. To date the team have raised £360 and the contest runs until 31st January.
Full details can be found at the CVS web site http://www.cvsstalbans.org.uk/

For those of you who would like to volunteer in the local community over the xmas period , Centre 33 in Spicer Street and Open Door in Bricket Road are both offering oppurtunities and details can be found at the following links;

  1. Good work girls! We are involved in the Dragons' Apprentice scheme as well. Our team is St Albans Springboks and they've been doing well with their fundraising for Abbeyfield. Keep up the good work!
