Middlesex &Herts Wildlife Trust

This evening we heard from Sarah Buckingham of the Middlsex & Herts Wildlife Trust, Sarah told us about winter activities and the impact HS2 [the new high speed rail link] will have on wildlife.

Here are some activities you can become involved in to help wildlife this winter;

Make a bird feeder
Help the birds out through the colder months with a tasty snack you can make yourself.

Buy food for the birds
You can support the Wildlife Trusts when you order bird food through Vine House Farm. It's easy!

Build a nestbox
Provide a place for birds to keep snug and warm over winter

Make an insect hotel
Creepy crawlies need warm homes too!

Garden for wildlife
Top winter tips to make your garden wildlife friendly.

What to look out for

See what wildlife you can spot this winter too...

Winter birds spotting sheet
How to spot winter birds
Identifying winter nuts and berries
