Special Feature on WHD - Danny talks to Georgie Tovell of The Single Parent Project

Today on WHD Danny spoke with Georgie Tovell who has set up The Single Parent Project in order to help single mothers in her home country of South Africa. Many single mothers live in poverty in the townships, often with no electricity or running water but work and live in the cities, to help keep their family going and send the money home to their families who help raise their children.

Georgie wanted to help two women she knows from back home -
one in South Africa and one in Zimbabwe, that have both been widowed and are the sole income providers for their children. So, The Single Parent Project is having a fundraiser tonight Wednesday, 19 October at 8:00pm
at The Rose and Crown, 10 St Michael's St, St Albans.

Georgie says 'Our aim is to raise £1000, so please come along (and bring some friends), have some fun, enter our raffle (and hopefully win some great prizes), shout the loudest in our auction to win fabulous things, from champagne to signed books of local authors. £5 entrance at the door, which includes nibbles and live music (and great company!).'
