St Alban's Marquetry

Gordon Negus spoke to us today about on-going Marquetry classes that are held at Greenwood Park every Wednesday evening. The image to your left is an example of the work that is produced at these classes.

Marquetry is considered an ancient craft as it began centuries and centuries ago starting with the Egyptians. However it did not develop officially until the 14th Century in Italy. Now, in this modern day and age, the crafts continue and are accessible to you! With classes held every Wednesday as of 7th September at Greenwood Park, Chiswell Green there is no excuse to not attend! Attendee's will be working alongside experienced 'Marqueterians' so you will be learning from the best.

You can find out more information on their website www.marquetry.org.
