Monthly Advice Feature with Elizabeth Crampton from the Citizen's Advice Bureau
Elizabeth Crampton of the local Citizens Advice Bureau came into the studio for a chat about the realities of Valentine's Day for the local Community.
Elizabeth urged the community to be aware of those struggling with divorce, while asking parents to avoid the courts for the sake of their children, and an amicable split.
She said this is particularly important at this time of year.
"Most solicitors and advice agencies notice an increase in queries about divorce and separation in the weeks after Christmas."
Furthermore, Elizabeth said that St Albans residents are becoming increasingly wary of pothole problems in the area.
She said insurance companies have reported an upturn in claims relating to damage caused by potholes.
Those concerned can contact Herts County Council via their website and report a pothole, or visit www.potholes.co.uk.
On the Blue Badge Scheme which benefits the disabled, Elizabeth mentioned that the initiative is under review after reports of stolen badges and misuse.
Those affected can apply for a badge even if they don't own a car, as it can be used by passengers.
