Monthly Interior Design Feature with Gwendolnie Alderton

Gwendoline was back this month to talk all about lighting!

Natural light was first to be discussed. It all depends on how much light you need or want in any particluar room. A good tip to alter or reduce natural ligh levels in a room is to use 'window fusion' or your windows.

Next, Gwendoline recommended safety lighting for both inside and outside the home. Good lighting around stairs and hallways is very important as is task lighting for when you're doing particular work or jobs around the house. And outside the house, good lighting can be very useful if returning home late at night and also for guests visiting your home.

Occasional lights are also very effective and can provide great atmoshphere and add to and compliment the design and style of any room in the house. You don't always need that big main light on!
