Special Constable Jenny Gibson - Hertforshire Constabulary

This evening we heard from Jenny Gibson who is a special constable with the Herts Police force, Jenny became a special after a member of her family was a victim of crime and been performing her role for around 15 months.

The role of a Special Constable requires a commitment to perform 16 hours per month, and gives you the same powers as a regular officer.

On Saturday 16th October Hertfordshire Police are holding an open day at their HQ in Welwyn to allow individuals who are interested in the role to meet specials and regular officers and have the chance to ask questions about the role and what it entails. The open day is between 10.00am and 2.00pm and full details about the event can be found at www.herts.police.uk
