Today we heard from Jean Gardner from Hertfordshire Geological Society. This local group has been meeting for over 30 yearsThe society is for anyone interested in geology, whether beginners or experienced.
They hold monthly talks in St Albans on a wide range of earth science topics. They also run several day and weekend field trips each year and usually a longer foreign excursion.
The next meeting is this Thursday (7th October) at 7.30pm at Verulamium Museum and will feature a talk by Dr. Peter Skelton (Open University) called "Charles Darwin and the Tree of Life".
