Interview with Peter Antram of the RSPB

This afternoon we spoke to Peter Antram of the RSPB.

The RSPB is a national charity that campaigns for healthy environments for birds throughout the country.

The work of the RSPB is driven by a belief that we have a responsibility to protect birds and the environment. Bird populations reflect the health of the planet on which our future depends.

And in St Albans, the local RSPB group totals around 1500 members. The lcoal group organises a monthly meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of each month followed by a bird watching walk on the Sunday of that same week. The next meeting is on the 14th September at St Saviours Church Hall on Sandpit Lane, St Albans, and starts at 8pm.

The topic of the next meeting is all about wildlife protection legislation in our local area and the meeting will feature a talk from Sgt Jamie Bartlett of Hertfordshire constabulary.
