Monthly Feature with Mark Clementson from Verulam Writers Circle

Verulam Writers Circle (VWC) still meets every month - they have formal meetings aswell as informal pub gatherings. Throughout summer, the group will be meeting at the White Hart on Hollywell Hill, St Albans on Wednesdays at 8pm for manuscript readings, critique and drinking!

A particular highlight in the VWC calendar is the 5th annual conference called 'Get Writing'. It's going to be on the 19th February 2011 at Hertfordshire University. The cost will be a fabulously low £55 per person which includes lunch, speakers and workshops. This year, the conference will also hear from a high profile internationally best-selling author - details to be announced soon! It's also a chance to meet agents, editors and other authors. According to Mark, it will be HUGE, and Radio Verulam should be there too!

Places are limited - only 200 available - and they can be booked through the VWC website from October this year.

And finally here are details of two big achievements by VWC members that you can tune in to when you’re not listening to Radio Verulam.....

Julie Mayhew's radio play 'Stopgap' is scheduled for broadcast on Radio 4 at 2.15pm on Wednesday 8th September, and 'The Amazing Arnolfini and His Wife' by Jonathan Pinnock will be broadcast on Wednesday 18th August at 3:30pm, also on Radio 4.
