We spoke today with Viv Lawman from the St Albans Bereavement Network.
This is a well established local charity organisation that offers free support to those who have suffered a bereavement and that live in the St Albans and surrounding area.
It's been in operation for six years now and is made up of over 120 dedicated volunteers and a team of enthusiastic officers.
In connection with this organisation, there's a special event happening this Sunday 22nd November which is the Annual Service of Remembrance & Thanksgiving. This is the second year that it's being held at the Abbey and so far there will be 700 adults and more than 100 children attending this special event. As well as the main service at 3pm, there will be a balloon release taking place at the main entrance to the abbey at 2:30 pm.
This promises to be a very special event and further details can be obtained on the website: www.sabn.org.uk. Alternatively, telephone their helpline on St Albans 841841. Details can also be found at St Albans library or by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org.
